Congenital Malformations

A child born with severe life threatening diseases like absence of food pipe (trachea esophageal fistula), blockage of intestine (intestinal atresia), anorectal malformation (absent anus), gap in abdominal muscles (omphalocele, gastroschisis) are treated by paediatric surgeons. Such surgeries require diligent care before and after a corrective procedure has been performed on them. After a successful surgery these children lead a normal life and have a normal life expectancy.
