Laparoscopy

Paediatric surgery commonly involves taking care of swelling and bumps in the groin area (hernia and undescended testis) in pre-school and school going children. These problems are dealt with precision in ‘Key-hole’ surgery or laparoscopy. Other common laparoscopic procedures that are performed are appendectomy, cholecystectomy, fundoplication, pyloromyotomy and lymph node biopsies.
